Flash Mobs and Chocolate Bars

We’ve come to our final destinations, Romania and Switzerland. It’s really hard to believe that a month has already flown by.

On our final day with our group tour, we took a short stop in Romania.

We did a walking tour, had lunch, and our visit ended with a surprise flash mob!

We’d been told at the beginning of the tour, “Something is going to happen today, when you see it, you’ll know it, but wait to be invited.”

As the Upholder I am, I waited to be invited and joined along. As the Rebel Bryce is, he waited to be invited and then declined.

As the song got faster, so did we (or at least we tried)

It was a really fun, unique surprise, and a memorable way to end our brief time in Romania.

Lastly, we made our way to Zurich.

To commemorate our final flight together, we had a dance party on the plane, complete with a conga line.

Once we arrived at the hotel, we just had an hour before dinner, but our bags (which were kindly transported by a team throughout our whole trip) weren’t in the rooms yet, so everyone was instructed to come downstairs to dinner in our bathrobes.

It was the reminder that life’s too short to be taken too seriously.

In line with that same theme, we decided to have dessert first! We were all brought back to the kitchen where we got to decorate our own Swiss chocolate bars.

Our final dinner was spent reminiscing and laughing with the truly wonderful people we now get to call friends who shared this experience with us!

This whole thing was kind of like summer camp for adults. As a kid who never enjoyed summer camp, I was informed that usually at the end of camp you’re sad to leave and you miss the people you just spent your summer with.

This is definitely true of this trip. We had such a great time with our fellow travelers and we know we will see them all again soon. So we end the trip the way we started it, just the two of us!

We took the first couple days in Zurich to just relax, walk around the shops, eat chocolate, and sleep.

Our second night here we went to bed at 5:30pm and woke up at 7 the next morning.

On our final day, we took a ferry boat tour around Lake Zurich while sipping hot chocolate and eating French fries.

Sight seeing from the ferry

Then we jumped on the train to Lucerne and enjoyed some coffee and snacks and walked under their “historic” covered bridge.

Swiss landscape from Zurich to Lucerne

The bridge was originally constructed in the 1700’s, but unfortunately burned down and was reconstructed in 1994. So it’s not exactly as historic as it once was, but still pretty.

There are no words to adequately summarize the phenomenal experience we had. It was beyond anything we could’ve imagined and the perfect honeymoon!

We thank you for traveling along with us and hope you enjoyed reading about our great adventure!

All our love!

  1. First of all thank you so much for taking us on your honeymoon😂😂!!

Enjoyed every moment I would’ve loved the flash mob. I would’ve been with you that looked like so much fun. I wanna know where Bryce thought was the best coffee.
Bryce looks younger since the shave.
